Thank you to all of my supporters for your help in my second re-election campaign. With your help, I not only earned a third term in office, but also made great strides in growing my base of support throughout my legislative district. We once again secured our win with more than 65% of the vote. Despite these strong numbers, I am constantly working towards serving the people of the 148th by holding public forums, attending local events and meetings and reaching out to those in need via my district office.
Now, and maybe more importantly, you have helped me expand my role in Harrisburg so I am in a greater position to advance our Commonwealth. I was recently re-elected by my colleagues to serve as Chairman of the Democratic Caucus’ Southeast Delegation and I continue to serve as a Deputy Whip for my caucus.
Additionally, I now serve as chairman of both the Energy Subcommittee and the Public Transportation Subcommittee, as well a trustee for the State Employee Retirement System, where I am one of eleven board members that determine how to invest the state’s $32 billion retirement fund.
As you can see, you have helped me achieve a great deal in a short period of time. I thank you and look forward to continuing our work together to advance Pennsylvania.
